Welcome to the second generation of the Nakatanenga mobile parking heater in a box! Now packing even more technology, even more experience and even more customer feedback in the new mobile heating boxes. Anyone looking for a small, self-sufficient and portable heat source with unrivaled capacity for cold days and nights in unheated outdoor shelters or temporary accommodation can get everything they need (or want) in a small, weatherproof aluminium box. In three modular versions with different configurations, the Nakatanenga heating box offers the perfect, independent heat source for tents, pavilions, garden houses, mountain huts, snack bars, market stalls and much more.

The controller used for the non-battery variation is the PU5. The heart of the mobile parking heater is the Autoterm Luft 2D, a diesel-powered air heater with a maximum heating output of 1.8 kW and diesel consumption of almost a quarter of a litre per hour at full power. With a tank volume of a good 18 L in the double tank version, it can be heated at full throttle for over 70 hours. The economical unit, which is also very quiet thanks to the exhaust silencer at 55 dB, in the version with two batteries, it is regulated by a digital control with a timer and can also be switched on and off via radio remote control. So you can warm up the camper, the roof tent, the construction trailer or the hunting lodge in time to get up or preheat for the evening and operate from the place where you stay or sleep inside *.

In contrast to the previous models, the three variants of our mobile parking heater are only available in one box size, namely 42 L. This is significantly more compact than the old version in the large version and only slightly more voluminous than the small model from earlier. What’s the benefit? The new universal crate has a modular interior and is extremely powerful. Depending on whether you need tanks, batteries or both in the box, you can choose the appropriate variant when buying: with 9.2 L single or 18.4 L double tank, each without battery, as well as with single tank, two batteries and digital control . However, if requirements change, it can also be easily retrofitted or converted. This is made possible by elaborately designed brackets in the box and the use of specially manufactured, custom-made tanks.

The self-powered configurations are equipped with an SAE socket for external 12V power connection and can be used for example with a solar panel kit. The powerful 60 Ah battery version has a capacity display, a USB interface for charging a smartphone or power bank and is controlled by the PU27 digital control unit with a timer. Two radio transmitters for remote control bring even more convenience.

The warm air is transported via a firmly screwable, waterproof flexi hose. Since the required warm air hose is different for each user and each setting, we do not include a standard length, but leave it to you to order the desired length separately.

Regardless of the configuration, the mobile parking heaters are always easy to transport and make the difference between experience and suffering in the cold seasons. Whether it’s a Northern Lights safari, selling cookies at the Christmas market or winter camping in a roof tent, nothing is really fun when you are frozen to the marrow.

* ATTENTION: As a precaution, we would like to point out that operation in closed rooms is not permitted due to the risk of poisoning from exhaust gases. In addition, for optimal heating performance, care should be taken that the air supply for combustion and hot air is positioned so that it is protected from the weather.

And another special note about aluminium: Although, as with all of our products, we take the greatest care in storage and shipping, our aluminium boxes can always have the smallest scratches, stains, dents or other minimal surface features upon delivery. Since the material aluminium is ultimately a natural product, these traces are material-related and therefore not a reason for complaint. In addition, aluminium boxes are intended as robust everyday objects. Like everything that is actively used, they develop an individual patina and every trace of use tells a story. So have fun with it!

Make some space, here comes the second generation of our mobile heater systems in a box! We are stuffing even more technology, more experience and more customer feedback into our portable heating boxes. If you require a small autonomous and portable high capacity heat source for cold outdoor shelters or temporary abodes, you’ll find everything you need (or want) in one small, weather protected aluminium case. The Nakatanenga mobile heater comes in three modular versions and makes the perfect, independent heat source for tents, pavilions, garden sheds, mountain cabins, food stands, market stalls and many more.

At the heart of our mobile heater box is the Autoterm Air D, a diesel-run air heater with a maximum output of 1.8 kW and a diesel consumption of just under a quarter liter per hour at full strength. In the double tank version with over 18 L volume you can run the heater for over 70 hours. The heater unit is extremely fuel-efficient and, due to an exhaust muffler, also quite silent at 55 decibels. In the double battery version, the heater is operated by a digital control unit including a timer function and two remote controls to switch it off or on. With it you can pre-heat your camper van, the roof tent or hunting cabin for the morning or the evening or control it from the inside* where you stay or sleep.

In contrast to its predecessors, the three new variations of our new mobile heater come in one universal size box of 42 L. That’s significantly smaller than the old top of the range version and not a lot bigger than the first generation small model. What’s the advantage? The new universal size case offers a modular interior for maximum heat delivery. Whether you require tanks, batteries or both, you can make your own choice: a 9.2 L single tank, an 18.4 L double tank, both without batteries, or a double battery solution with single tank and digital control unit. Should your requirements change over time, you can easily change the configuration and add or remove components. This is made possible by especially constructed fittings in the box and custom-built tanks.

The warm air is transported via a waterproof flexi hose that can be screwed on tightly. Since the warm air hose is individually different for every user and every requirement, we do not include a standard length, but leave it up to you to order the desired length separately here in the shop, with or without a silicone sleeve.

You can find the perfect storage bag for the Flexi hose here in the shop.

The mobile heater is always easy to transport, regardless of the configuration. It can make the difference between enjoying or suffering through a typical cold weather activity. Whether it’s a polar light safari, selling cookies in a Christmas market stall or winter camping in a roof tent, nothing is fun when you’re chilled to the bone.

*Attention: Due to health and safety regulation, specifically the risk of poisoning by toxic fumes, indoors operation of the mobile heater is prohibited. To achieve maximum heat output, the air intakes for both combustion and warm air need to be protected from weather and kept free from obstruction.

LiFePo4 batteries – with their lithium iron phosphate cathode material – are perfect for running your camping or work utilities on the road. Unlike your conventional AGM lead-acid technology, the lithium battery combines vastly superior charging/discharging qualities with extremely low weight and small volume, respectively, and a long service life. LiFePo4 batteries tolerate deep discharging without problems, unlike AGM batteries which will suffer irreparable damage when repeatedly discharged beyond 50%. Unless you require the greater tolerance for extreme cold in AGM’s, you should definitely consider the higher initial costs of LiFePo4 batteries and compatible chargers. Enormous weight and space reductions, the long life-cycle and the hassle-free charging and discharging of the battery are strong arguments for the investment. And last but not least: LiFePo4-technology is extremely safe.

Please note for the variants without battery:
Most portable power stations or battery boxes (such as Goal Zero, Eco Flow, Bluetti, etc.) are unfortunately not suitable for the operation of mobile parking heaters.
The heater needs up to 15A for start-up and shutdown, but only a few battery boxes can do this.
You can find suitable battery boxes for the operation of the mobile parking heater here.
Generally, however, the direct connection to the battery terminals is the best solution.

Please note that there is one important consideration about aluminium. As always, we make sure our products are stored, handled and shipped with the utmost care. Aluminum boxes, however, can always show minimal scratches, dull spots, blemishes, small dents or other superficial marks on delivery. These are solely due to the specific properties of the material. On contact with atmospheric oxygen, aluminum develops a natural, anti-corrosion patina.  Three times lighter than steel, it is also considerably softer, making it the perfect material for metal sheets, especially when weight and durability are important. The flip side of these properties, though, means that aluminum can never be entirely free of scratches, blemishes etc. This is why these surface marks do not constitute grounds for customer complaints. After all, aluminium boxes are meant to be rugged items for heavy duty use and every mark tells a story. With that in mind, we hope you get the most out of your boxes!
